The Garden is a new feature in the new edition of Carcassonne. This feature has been added to the farm areas of eight tiles from the core game, and 1 tile from the River expansion. It has been added to two tiles from each of the new editions of all large expansions as well. The Abbot is included as a new follower from the new edition core game and is the only follower that can be placed on a garden. Gardens score exactly like monasteries when completely surrounded by other tiles.
